The Audi R8 is nearly five years old and the first details are starting to emerge about the facelifted model.
A recent report is saying that the updated R8 will launch sometime next year with more powerful engines. Sources suggest the 4.2-liter V8 will produce 444 hp (331 kW / 450 PS) while the 5.2-liter V10 gets uprated to 533 hp (397 kW / 540 PS). More importantly, there are rumors of a seven-speed S-tronic transmission which would likely replace the current R-tronic.
Styling changes will likely be minor, so expected restyled headlights and modest tweaks to the fascias.
